The Public Participation Program in Environmental Protection (PPPA) can help turn your ideas into action.
Cultural Vistas and the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs are proud to announce that the PPPA program is now accepting applications for its 2019 grant competition.
The PPPA is a grant program funded by the U.S. Department of State that funds 4 projects in Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The PPPA project will increase civil society engagement in environmental protection, and promote public participation in environmental decision-making. The intended result of this will be increased environmental protection and greater enforcement of environmental laws in FTA (Free Trade Agreement) and TPA (Trade Partnership Agreement) countries.
PPPA is open to projects promoting environmental decision making in Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
The application deadline is January 31, 2019 at 11:59 PM (GMT-5)
To be eligible, applicant teams of at least three members must submit a detailed proposal, budget, and other supporting documentation.
What’s Included:
- This funded program offers four projects across South America the opportunity to increase the impact and reach of environmental decision making.
- Selected projects may receive up to $50,000 USD in funding over a 15-month funding cycle.
- Round-trip international or domestic airfare to kickoff workshop in Bogota, Colombia
