NEW YORK — Are you passionate about environmental protection or in becoming more civically engaged? Do you have an idea of how to make a positive change in your community, but are in search of mentorship and financial assistance to make it happen?

The Public Participation Program in Environmental Protection (PPPA) can help turn your ideas into action.

Cultural Vistas and the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs are proud to announce that the PPPA program is now accepting applications for its 2019 grant competition.

The PPPA is a grant program funded by the U.S. Department of State that funds 4 projects in Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The intended result of this will be increased environmental protection and greater enforcement of environmental laws in FTA (Free Trade Agreement) and TPA (Trade Partnership Agreement) countries.

PPPA is open to projects promoting environmental decision making in Chile, Colombia, and Peru.

The application deadline is January 31, 2019 at 11:59 PM (GMT-5)
