Once you arrive in the United States, you must report to Cultural Vistas within 5 days so that we can validate your visa status and program participation with the U.S. government database (known as SEVIS). Your program can be cancelled if this information is not received in a timely manner. Please complete your validation by logging into the Cultural Vistas portal.

Use “forgot password” if needed to login. This is the same login information you used for your initial application for sponsorship. Many participants move between student emails, work emails and personal emails when transferring to the U.S. so you might want to try more than one if it does not recognize your email address.
You should visit this link again to re-submit your personal information should there be any changes in your email, phone number, or residential address during your program. This needs to be done within 10 days of the change to remain compliant with J-1 Visa regulations.
Please note that you must wait at least 10 days after your arrival and two business days after your visa has been validated by Cultural Vistas before attending an appointment at the Social Security Administration Office. You can read more about applying for a Social Security Number here.
