William Maier

Vice President, Transatlantic Relations & Social Impact

I’m honored to contribute to the positive effects that international exchange has on our world, on individual participants, outward to their host communities abroad, and rippling throughout their home societies as alumni.

In his role as Vice President for Transatlantic Relations & Social Impact at Cultural Vistas, William oversees various European-U.S. exchange programs, new program development, and alumni services.

William joined Cultural Vistas (then CDS International) in 2005, initially working on the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals and the International Co-op Program. Since then, he has managed numerous fellowships, study tours, internship experiences, and other international initiatives that foster greater understanding among cultures while cultivating socially-minded global leaders. In 2013, he left Cultural Vistas’ New York office to open and expand our European Office, located in Berlin, Germany.

William has represented Cultural Vistas at various international conferences including the European Association for International Education, the Global Internship Conference, the National Academic Advising Association, the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, NAFSA, and others. He holds a degree in international relations from Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland.

I’m honored to contribute to the positive effects that international exchange has on our world, on individual participants, outward to their host communities abroad, and rippling throughout their home societies as alumni.
