Nancy Ongstad

Nancy Ongstad is a seasoned international education professional with over 15 years of experience in program management and organizational development. Nancy currently serves as Senior Director of Global Talent Development Programs overseeing J-1 visa programs,  the development and implementation of visa processing systems, policy creation, and participant support initiatives. She also oversees Cultural Vistas’ learning strategy and monitoring and evaluation processes. Her expertise spans visa compliance, change management, and intercultural competence, having successfully restructured organizational teams and streamlined processes across multiple departments.

Previously, Nancy held leadership positions at ISEP, where she grew enrollment, developed strategic partnerships, implemented comprehensive health and safety policies, spearheaded GDPR compliance initiatives, and developed new enrollment management systems.

Her passion for international education began with her own international internship experience and participation in the TAPIF program as an English teaching assistant in France.  Nancy holds a master’s degree in international education from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in French from Wake Forest University.
