Grace Nono

Grace Nono is an ethnomusicologist and scholar of Philippine shamanism who writes at the intersections of Native religions, voice, gender, and ecology. She has published four books that have won a number of awards. Grace is also a singer of songs drawn from Philippine oral traditions. She has been presented in concerts in over twenty countries in Asia, Europe and North America. As cultural worker, Grace founded the 30-year old non-profit organization, Tao Foundation for Culture and Arts that runs programs dedicated to Indigenous cultural revitalization and environmental conservation. These days, Grace is busy co-establishing an eco, agri, and heritage park right in her backyard alongside Indigenous knowledge keepers, modernist scientists, family and friends.
