Atlas Corps Leadership Institute (ACLI)

The Atlas Corps Leadership Institute invites participants to: 

• Build connections within a global network of emerging leaders, fostering collaboration and lifelong professional relationships. 
• Develop critical leadership skills through immersive virtual workshops, self-guided learning, and interactive small group engagement with peers. 
• Learn from leading U.S. organizations and experts on topics such as self-management and resilience, conflict resolution, and intercultural adaptability.
• Explore strategies to address pressing global challenges and drive meaningful impact.
• Gain insights into how global and local leaders work together to create sustainable solutions in diverse team environments. 
• Experience the transformative power of peer mentoring to refine personal and professional goals and align with a leadership style that bolsters your context and goals.

• 12-week virtual leadership program combining live workshops, facilitated discussions, and flexible, self-paced learning.
• Small-group learning circles and 1-on-1 reflection touchpoints designed to deepen peer learning and support real-world application.
• Live sessions with guest experts exploring current leadership challenges, including ethical leadership, resilience, and leading across cultures and borders.
• A curated library of leadership learning assignments covering core and emerging topics, allowing participants to tailor their learning to their goals and interests.
• Community-building experiences that strengthen professional networks across the Cultural Vistas and Atlas Corps alumni communities.
• Team-based capstone project focused on tackling a real-world challenge through cross-cultural collaboration and applied leadership practice.

The Atlas Corps Leadership Institute curriculum draws from modern leadership research and 60+ years of Cultural Vistas experience in intercultural education to combine theory, self-reflection, and hands-on community involvement.

MODULE 1: ORIENTATION

• Understand ACLI’s structure, educational goals, and your responsibilities as a participant 
• Connect with the Atlas Corps community through WhatsApp, Canvas, and available support channels 
• Clarify your goals, motivations, and expectations to set the foundation for your learning journey

MODULE 2: LEADING SELF 

• Develop self-awareness and resilience by exploring your identity, working preferences, and stress management strategies 
• Cultivate a growth mindset by recognizing every experience as a learning opportunity and envisioning your development 
• Master time management and life planning by prioritizing goals and creating your future roadmap 

MODULE 3: LEADING OTHERS 

• Build high-performing teams by applying leadership skills and understanding different management approaches 
• Navigate conflict constructively using your personal conflict style, non-violent communication, and transformation frameworks 
• Master feedback by giving and receiving it effectively across cultures while understanding its role in team motivation  understanding when to adjust feedback expectations in diverse cultures

MODULE 4: LEADING ACROSS BORDERS 

• Enhance intercultural communication by recognizing cultural influences and adapting your style across diverse environments 
• Strengthen global team dynamics by improving collaboration and promoting inclusion in multicultural settings 
• Build cultural awareness by seeking diverse perspectives and navigating the adjustment process when working internationally 

MODULE 5: REFLECTION

• Communicate your value by defining your personal brand and creating a compelling value proposition 
• Synthesize your learning through a capstone project with global peers, demonstrating applied competencies and impact 
• Solidify your growth by reflecting on your development and planning continued application of leadership skills 

The Atlas Corps Leadership Institute is open to early-career professionals who are ready to invest in their growth. Ideal candidates are individuals with a bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience or professionals with a high school degree/GED and 3–5 years of experience. Applicants should have a commitment to professional and leadership development, a passion for making a difference, and an interest in building international connections.

Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) and reliable access to technology for live sessions and online learning are required. Participants must be available to engage fully in the 12-week program, dedicating approximately 3–5 hours per week to live sessions, self-guided coursework, and interactive activities.

Standard Program Fee

The standard participation fee for the Atlas Corps Leadership Institute (ACLI) is $965.

The program fee covers access to all ACLI components, including live virtual workshops, self-guided learning modules, interactive peer discussions, facilitation, learning platforms, and participant support. All program activities are conducted fully online, eliminating costs related to travel, visas, or accommodation.

Cultural Vistas Alumni Rate

Cultural Vistas alumni are eligible for a reduced participation rate. Applicants who have previously participated in a Cultural Vistas program will receive a discounted fee upon acceptance into the program.

The following rates apply based on the date of application:

— Until February 28, 2026: 45% discount (program fee $530)
— Until March 6, 2026: 25% discount (program fee $725)

Eligible alumni will receive a unique discount code as part of their acceptance materials.

Scholarships

Cultural Vistas offers a limited number of need-based scholarships to reduce financial barriers for participants who would otherwise be unable to join the program. Applicants seeking financial support must complete the scholarship section of the application to be considered. Scholarship decisions are made as part of the application review process.

ACLI Tuition Refund Policy

Effective for Spring 2026 Cohort

Tuition is due in full upon acceptance. Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of payment. Participants who submit written notice of withdrawal no later than one (1) week prior to the program start date (i.e. no later than March 25, 2026) are eligible for a 50% refund of tuition paid. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals submitted within seven (7) days before the program start date (i.e. after March 25, 2026), regardless of circumstance. In the event Cultural Vistas cancels the cohort, participants will receive a full refund of all tuition paid.

All withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to the ACLI program team. The date written notice is received will serve as the official withdrawal date for refund determination purposes. For questions, please contact the ACLI program team at Cultural Vistas.
