We need your help and we need it now.
On June 22, President Trump signed a proclamation suspending entry into the United States of certain immigrants and non-immigrants
The proclamation suspends entry of several non-immigrant visas including the J for those participating in intern, trainee, and teacher exchange programs, among others, through the end of 2020 with the possibility for further continuation.
We believe this decision is both misguided and short-sighted.
The J-1 Visa facilitates important cultural exchange programs that strengthens cooperation with countries around the world. This order closes doors for Americans to engage with the world, and will negatively impact U.S. communities, businesses, and families.
