Cultural Vistas is pleased to offer resources and benefits to our participants and alumni through our affinity programs!

 

Cultural Vistas participants enjoy a variety of housing options and affordable rooms for rent with 4Stay. Easily search online for fully furnished apartments, private rooms, shared rooms, and entire homes for a semester, a year, month-to-month or short term rentals – all utilities included. For those who want to experience local culture, they also have a homestay program.

 

Participants in need of a rental car during their program can use Rentalcars.com to search, compare & save.

 

Participants coming to the United States for their program receive a free SIM card, which they can insert in their unlocked mobile phone to ensure a seamless transition with wireless service (plans average $30/month). Participants are responsible for any activation fees.

 

Cultural Vistas has partnered with StudentUniverse to offer participants and alumni the most affordable and most convenient way to travel internationally.

Participants who earn income from a U.S. source must pay federal, state, and local income taxes. Cultural Vistas offers participants free access to Sprintax Tax Preparation. See your email from Cultural Vistas at the beginning of each tax season, with next steps information.

 

Participants enrolled in Cultural Vistas insurance plans have access to Telus Health, an online mental health and well‑being platform offering 24/7 counseling via phone or chat, short‑term appointment scheduling, and a library of helpful articles and videos. Participants may also request language‑specific or lived‑experience counselor matching. Login instructions are available through your My Healthcare Zone portal.
