“Please be a traveler, not a tourist. Try new things, meet new people, and look beyond what’s right in front of you. Those are the keys to understanding this amazing world we live in.”
Tourists vs. Travelers
What’s the difference between a tourist and a traveler?
A tourist has an itinerary. A tourist has a map. A tourist has a camera.
A traveler has those things too. But a traveler has something else.
A traveler has an itinerary, but next to it, a new friend.
The traveler has a map, but uses it to find places less traveled.
A traveler has a camera, but with it, a new world view.
Our programs are not for tourists. They’re for travelers that want to have an immersive cultural and professional experience.
Are you a current or former traveler on one of our programs? Submit your entry to the Transformed by Travel Photo Contest and show us a photo that a traveler would take.
