Washington D.C. (January 27, 2021) – With a new year underway and new administration in Washington, Cultural Vistas is please to unveil a new strategic plan. The complexities and rapid change of the modern global landscape coupled with the major disruptions and vast inequalities further accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, present an historic opportunity for the non-profit organization to increase its relevance while future-proofing the business model.
The 2021-2023 Strategic Plan can be found on Culturalvistas.org.
Cultural Vistas was first conceived as a peace builder after World War II. In late 2020 a community of stakeholders came together during one of the most challenging moments the 21st century has witnessed to envision our future, recognizing that the challenges humanity faces now fundamentally differ from those of this distant era.
“As we reflected on our legacy, strengths and opportunities, a clear conclusion arose: Cultural Vistas has an important responsibility to mobilize our network and international exchange programs to be a force for positive change,” said Jennifer Clinton, President/CEO of Cultural Vistas.
Over the next three years Cultural Vistas will be working towards implementing the new vision to help bridge divides between and within nations, increase inclusivity, curate programs with demonstrable impact and foster a learning culture.
“Fundamentally, Cultural Vistas will remain true to its core,” added Jennifer. “Many of our existing programs will continue with enhancements while new offerings will be brought to market that deliver on our expertise of developing intercultural, experiential learning opportunities that improve the lives of individuals and communities.”
The organization will reveal more about its new strategic direction as well as what priorities and projects are on tap for 2021 at a virtual Cultural Vistas Town Hall event held February 18 at 12 p.m. EST. The event is open to the public. Register on Zoom.
