Cultural Vistas Exchange Participants Featured on NPR’s All Things Considered

Thanksgiving dinner is a quintessentially American experience. So how does it feel for people spending their first Thanksgiving in America?

Cultural Vistas exchange participants Christof Heinecke and Izabela Stalevska were featured guests on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered, speaking with host Ari Shapiro about how they are celebrating their first Thanksgiving in the United States.

Christof, a native of Bonndorf in southern Germany, is currently living with an American host family in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he is studying at St. Cloud State University as part of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals, a longstanding program funded by the German and U.S. governments.

Izabela, originally from Bitola in North Macedonia, came to the United States from Switzerland and is currently interning in New York City with Cultural Vistas for six months through the IAESTE exchange program.
