WASHINGTON – Following on their strategic commitments to expanding programming and building a global alumni community, Cultural Vistas is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Hutto as the Vice President of Development, effective September 15, 2021. This new role on Cultural Vistas leadership team looks to build on the organization’s history of international exchange programs and expand its impact by leveraging networks to build new philanthropic opportunities that equip the next generation of leaders with the skills and experiences needed to address global challenges.

Anna brings over 20 years of experience leading giving initiatives at the local, national, and international levels. Most recently, she served as the Associate Vice President of Fundraising Operations at CARE, one of the largest humanitarian organizations in the world. Prior, Anna served as Chief Advancement Officer at the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International operating in central East Africa, as a Deputy Director for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and as Director of Development and Marketing for L’Arche USA.

Anna has a very personal connection to our mission. At the core of her motivation for joining us is her own experience in a bi-cultural marriage, language immersion, international exchange, and working with colleagues from around the world.  She has learned that building bridges requires repetitive exposure to difference and the development of a framework to help one make sense of what’s occurring within and between the differences.

It’s in some ways for me a deeply personal arrival, and I’m excited to partner with the team to build a dynamic fundraising and marketing function that draws resources toward the mission and ultimately transforms  everyone who says “yes” to the global exchange invitation.”
