Cultural Vistas has signed an agreement with the US-ASEAN Business Council Institute to support the Vietnam Wartime Accounting Initiative, a collaborative effort focused on advancing humanitarian research and reconciliation related to the Vietnam War.
Through this agreement, Cultural Vistas will implement the Shared Service, Shared Healing program, also known as Bridges to Memories, a structured dialogue and exchange initiative that brings together American and Vietnamese veterans to share experiences and engage with students, researchers, and broader communities. The program integrates dialogue, academic collaboration, and public storytelling to support mutual understanding and contribute to long-term reconciliation efforts.

“The Institute is proud to partner with Cultural Vistas on this important effort,” said Margaret Hanson-Muse, President and CEO of the US–ASEAN Business Council Institute. “The Shared Service, Shared Healing program represents a meaningful step forward in advancing reconciliation and mutual understanding between the United States and Vietnam. By investing in dialogue, exchange, and storytelling, we are helping to preserve history while fostering the trust and relationships necessary for long-term cooperation. USABCI’s role further highlights the American private sector’s commitment to this endeavor.”
Through this partnership, Cultural Vistas will contribute its experience designing and implementing international collaboration programs that facilitate knowledge exchange across borders and institutions. For more than 60 years, Cultural Vistas has worked with governments, universities, companies, and civil society organizations to build the relationships and shared understanding needed to address complex global challenges.
“This initiative reflects the strength of the U.S.–Vietnam partnership and the shared commitment of our institutions to deepen understanding through dialogue,” said Jennifer Clinton, Chief Executive Officer of Cultural Vistas. “By bringing veterans together to share their lived experiences and translating those stories for future generations, we are building a stronger foundation of trust, empathy, and people-to-people connection that will support continued collaboration across the region.”
This partnership reflects the continued importance of international collaboration in supporting reconciliation efforts and building durable connections between institutions and communities in the United States and Vietnam.
Cultural Vistas is proud to contribute its expertise in international exchange and program implementation in support of this important initiative.
