GCC empowers individuals with tangible global competence skills that are fundamental to building just and peaceful societies
WASHINGTON – Cultural Vistas is pleased to announce a new partnership with AFS Intercultural Programs (AFS), to advance the development of global competence among individuals who participate in its professional exchange programs.
Beginning this summer, Cultural Vistas exchange participants and alumni will utilize AFS’s Global Competence Certificate (GCC) as a tool to support their intercultural learning and adjustment training before, during, and after their international experiences.
This widely-used instrument will provide an intentional and research-backed approach to developing and assessing the acquisition of global skills and competencies by Cultural Vistas exchange participants and partners.

The research-backed Global Competence Certificate has been used by more than 10,000 university, intern, and language abroad students and professionals in 50 countries.
The customizable GCC curriculum is delivered in 18 online modules supported by a Cultural Vistas staff member who has been trained as a Qualified Facilitator. To date, more than 15 Cultural Vistas staff members have been trained as Qualified Facilitators.
