Call for Applications: 2019 YSEALI Seeds for the Future Grants Competition

YSEALI Seeds for the Future

JAKARTA — Are you passionate about the future of Southeast Asia? Do you have an idea of how to make a positive change in your community, but are in search of mentorship and financial assistance to make it happen?

The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative’s (YSEALI) Seeds for the Future Grants Competition can help turn your ideas into action.

Cultural Vistas and the U.S. Mission to ASEAN are proud to announce that the YSEALI Seeds for the Future program is now accepting applications for its 2019 grant competition.

YSEALI Seeds for the Future is a small grants competition for young leaders in Southeast Asia. The competition, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, provides funding of up to $15,000 for the region’s most promising young leaders to carry out projects that improve their communities, countries and the region. Projects cover one of the four YSEALI themes: Civic Engagement, Economic Growth, Education, and Sustainable Development.

The 2019 YSEALI Seeds for the Future program will build on the diverse achievements of this year’s grantees, who have successfully implemented 20 projects across all ten ASEAN member states.  This year we are excited to announce that projects and participants from Timor-Leste are now eligible as well.

The application deadline is November 30, 2018 at 11:59 PM (WIB, UTC+07).

Apply Now!

To be eligible, you must be a registered YSEALI member aged 18 to 35 from one of the 11 YSEALI nations. Applicant teams of at least three members must submit a detailed proposal, budget, and other supporting documentation. Projects that involve more than one country are encouraged.
